Poor battery life makes phone essentially useless The specs for this phone state it has 3.2 hour talk time and 9.5 days standby. However, I charge my phone at night, but the battery has already run down by the time I finish work the next day. I have already had the battery replaced twice and the phone sent for repair by the store (it was returned without any work and a comment that it is "basically functional". The only way I could actually use this phone would be to charge it at home at night, then charge it again at work during the day. Otherwise, I leave work with a dead phone every day. I wouldn't praise it too highly. This phone is rather decent if you don't plan on talking too much. The battery life isn't awful; it will stay alive for two days at best, that's without talking on the phone for more than an hour a day. I loved the compactness of this phone, and the user interface was pretty straightforward. It was also very durable; it was dropped a good number of times without any visible scratches, and it even went through an entire wash cycle. There was slight water damage to the inside of the screen, but the battery is sealed nicely in there so after it stood under the hairdryer for a while, I was able to use it normally again. The external screen is nice and sleek but prone to smudging and fingerprints. A minor detail, but a small pet peeve of mine. The only major drawback to this phone was texting. Every time I would type in a certain word or symbol, the phone would freeze up! After about two minutes it would unfreeze, but most of the time I would have to take the battery out and restart the phone. I hated it, especially if i was in the middle of a long text!! I would have to type it all over again. The other drawback to texting was when using T9, the different word options only pop up after a 3-letter word. So when typing 2-letter words that use the same sequence of two keys, like 'of' & 'me', or 'on' & 'no', I'd have to switch to the alphabet mode, type the word, then switch back to T9 mode. THAT was also very annoying. All in all, an okay phone, if you plan on using it only when you need to. 12 hour battery life Ok, so it is cute and trendy, but the battery life is not practical. Even with no calls or texting, I am lucky to get 12 hours of the phone just being on before it dies. The store says that 12 hours is "good." If you need a phone you can use, this is not it.
