Works for my purpose
The product is what it is, a clear case over your phone. I own a BJ2 and it fits perfectly. I like the removal clip holder even though it covers the camera lens a bit but its not a huge problem because it swivels 360 degrees. The clip holder itself is removable but leaves you with the protruding clip attachment out from the case itself but I never really take it off so its not an issue for me.
Haven't dropped it yet so I cant review the durability.
08/22/2008 - Update
Dropped Phone:
--For the cost of the item, its durable enough for me. Dropped my phone on concrete (about 3 to 4 foot drop) and it was like a crumple zone on a car. It took the punishment and my phone is fine.
Clip Durability:
--The clip is a bit weak. The plastic cracked due to the metal spring`s strength. At least it did for me.
Case Removal Issue:
--Yes, the case was difficult to remove at first but I found my way of removal. Its all about the prongs.
My removal method:
NOTE: This works for me but may not work for all. Be careful and proceed with caution.
--I use my index fingernail (I don't have thick or long nails but I have enough for the job) I go after the either the top-left or top-right corners. My targets are where the plastics snap together (top and side). If you can manage to separate the case with your nail, glide your nail towards the snap (remember the face plate has prongs to snap into the back plate) so when gliding your nail, make sure the phone is not facing you when your fingers are curled. The snaps just pop loose and I do the same for the bottom four or you can nudge the loose top in opposite directions (flair the plates a bit without breaking it) and it should loosen up. Hope this helps.
Does what it intends to do, nice finish, BUT hard to remove
All these plastic shell cases do exactly what they intend to do -- protect your BJ from getting scratched and does provide some layer of protection in case you drop it on a hard surface. Finish is nice, and while it does add a tiny bit of bulk, it is in no way excessive at all. However, the major deficit is that these are "snap on" type cases which means it is very, very, difficult to remove the casing. Oh and you will need to remove it every once in a while as Windows Mobile will pleasantly lock up on you one day, to which the power button will not respond. The only choice is to pull the battery and that means removing this case. No fun at all and if it happens at an inopportune time (i.e. while not at home, such as expecting an emergency call while frantically looking for someone) you could be seriously screwed. I think this is a major issue for the BJ since there is simply no way to hardware reboot aside from pulling the battery. Frankly, I'm going to find another casing product as I find this case "risky" to use when that lock-up happens one day!
BargainCell came through like a champ!
My phone case was shipped very quickly and arrived just as it was described. Fits perfectly and adds just enough protection to keep my phone from getting chipped or cracked if I drop it. BargainCell is a good seller, would recommend highly! A+++
