Cannot Use Multiple Handsets on the same call. I agree with all the other reviewers that the phone was easy to set up and the calls are very clear. We bought three handsets, and my problem is this: if I'm talking to someone and my wife wants to talk to them as well, she cannot get on the phone with them using these cordless phones. You can only use one handset at a time. I've owned multiple cordless phones before, and this has never been an issue. That seems like a pretty big feature to be lacking in the 21st century. Awful I live in a hi-rise and I have tried this phone in every jack and every room. The static is so bad I can barely hear the dial tone and changing channels makes no difference. If someone calls me I can't hear them until I turn up the volume and the phone does not retain the volume level in memory so you have to turn it up everytime you answer a call. I had a Motorola 900 mhz for years and the reception was great, never had a problem. Hard to find expansion cordless GE phone I bought a GE cordless 5.8 GHZ phone/answer machine with one extra handset for Christmas from Walmart. My parents decided they wanted a third matching phone, since it is expandable to 4 phones. Back at Walmart and they said they don't carry any expand products and I would have to contact GE. After many dead ends and gallons of gas I decided to try the internet. The first website I looked at offered the handset with free shipping and a $70.00 price tag. I knew that was price gouging from what I originaly paid for the gift. Then I came to Amazon.com and you offered free shipping also and a price tag of [...] total. The transaction was perfect and the phone works beautifully. I now have your website bookmarked in my favorites and I will be doing a great deal more business with Amazon.com in the future. Kudos to you and your people.
